Nigerianen bij de ABN Amro?
Dankzij alle media aandacht omtrend de overnamegesprekken bij ABN Amro lijkt deze bank nu slachtoffer te worden van de bekende Nigeriaanse oplichtingspraktijken. Mr. Paul Den Cole (paul_dencole@abnamro.nl (spoofed)) stuurt mij een mail met het verzoek er aan mee te werken een bedrag van 7,4 miljoen euro te verduisteren. Ik krijg daar dan natuurlijk mijn deel van.
Het bericht werd verstuurd vanaf een Brits IP adres 81.85.1.1, via de servers van Tiscali. Een zoekopdracht naar dat IP adres in Google leert al snel dat dit IP adres veelvuldig gebruikt wordt voor het versturen van allerlei scams, zo ook voor loterijen e.d.
Mocht je geboren zijn met een enorm bord voor je kop, de illusie hebben dat je via een weg als deze geld gaat verdienen en het niet erg vinden dat je daarna enkele duizenden euro's getild bent stuur meneer Den Cole dan een mailtje. Hij helpt je graag.
Hello!De mail zou verstuurd zijn door paul_dencole@abnamro.nl, heeft een reply-to header met het mailadres paul_dencole@yahoo.com en wordt onderschreven met een adres paul_dencole@crawler.com ... die laatste twee bieden een gratis email dienst aan. How suspicious :) De naam "Paul den Cole" komt 0 keer in Google voor.
